Myself, Spiro and Paul went out to the drags tonite aiming for a 10 second pass out of Spiro's beast.

The car was race prepped.. Gutted, jungle juice, slicks and front runners.

Spiro managed to get in 2 passes before he had to leave for other commitments at 5pm.

Unable to crack into the 10 second zone, he graciously handed the keys over to Paul and said " I Want a 10 second pass and 140mph. Nothing more, nothing less"

on pauls first pass he managed 12.01@136mph with the weather still fairly hot.

On Pauls 2nd pass, he managed 11.82@127mph. A coolant hose at the back of the dump pipe had come loose and cause him to a bit sideways at half track. We all believed that this would have been his 10 second pass had the hose not come off.

Have a look at the first video and you will see what im talking about.

After letting the beast cool down for a while we managed to get the coolant hose sorted out, thanks to Dalts and his old man Herb for sorting that out!!!

After topping the car back up with water it was well into the night, and getting quite cool.

im pretty sure they announced the temperature as 24 degrees, not as cool as what it could be.

On Pauls 3rd and final pass he managed 11.04@137mph with a 1.90 60ft...

Congratulations to Spiro for supplying the weapon, and congratulations to Paul, having never driven Spiro's car at the drags before tonight.

A big thanks must go out to Spin, Dalts and Herb for helping out tonight!!!!

Damm!! So close. Nice steering Paul. Looks like its back to Spiro to get the magic number.

It was a real and genuine pleasure to be involved with this venture.

Many things were demonstrated. The power and strength of the components selected by Spiro and assembled by Paul and the crew.

The commitment of the Elite team, not just Steve and Paul but by Herb and Lee, customers and friends of Elite who swung into action to repair the water leak issue with rudementary tools, light from mobile phones and swear words.

Who also then went bin diving for bottles to refill the expansion tank.

The driving ability of Paul, who`d only driven Spiro`s car out the Willowbank on the day after final prep was done at his shop.

Picture yourself being tossed the keys to an unfamiliar car, with nasty power wearing slicks so soft they felt like Sikaflex.

lol, I actually was, but currently I have badly torn rib cartlidge and have to manually grab my pants leg and lift my right leg into the car..

I helped where I could, mainly I just stayed out of the way and enjoyed the interaction between Spiro and Paul. it was priceless.

Well done boys!!great driving Paul I always had faith in you,great crewing boges and John...also John you've got to stay out of those bins lol great machine spiro definatly has more in it!!looking forward to it getting cooler and seeing what it is really capable of.
