I've pretty much got the same mods, but have a custom intake and my zorst is stock.. Obviously I need a cat, but also need the actuator done, I can hear and feel the boost slipping away when I plant it.. Peeks at around 13-14 then just dropps away.. It is hit and miss with the actuator, wish mine was hit..

Ditch the walbro for a start lol.. I'm onto my 3rd one and its still not giving enough fuel ... My car is making 310rwkw with stock actuator and its holding boost really well peaks at 13.8 and fades down to around 12.3 ...I still have the stock cat in so I'm guessing its helping the actuator out...

ditch the monza/ubp/f6 snorkle . fit up a rapid v2. the difference is unbelievable. actuator should be ok. chuck a 12psi on anyway. cheap insurance. heres a pic of my old ba with a rapid kit. when I pulled the monza off and fitted this, the bloody thing picked up loads of grunt without a retune. 1st and 2nd were up in smoke with a built 4spd auto in a straight line with new rubber. no brakes. wouldnt even chirp at kickdown with monza and stock crossover/piping.

So it's hit and miss? Coz im running 10psi and want to bump up to 12 when I buy a few more bits, but dont really wanna do the actuator and the rest that follows yet. If 12psi can get 300rwkw, then that would make me happy for a while (maybe 2 months :dontknow:)

Plenty of cars have run well over 300 with stock actuator, it all depends on the other mods the car has... a restrictive intake/IC system cause the turbo to work alot harder to make higher boost, therefor adding to the pressure on the actuator and making it reduce boost in the higher rpm... this can be overcome by fitting a stronger (higher psi) actuator, but usually will spike boost in the mid-range, so its usually a good idea to enlarge the wastegate port when doing the actuator, as they really work hand in hand.

Also as the kays and age on a car get on, actuator will become weak in its spring rate, therefor not holding strong boost like it used too.

Never fit an upgraded actuator without getting the car on a dyno to check the tune.
