Hey guys,

Just after some advice. A mate is wrecking a BF Turbo Ute, and I'm going to buy the 6Speed Manual to put in my 5spd BA1 XR6T.

Can anyone recommend what parts I should get ?

I will grab the box, stick, bellhousing, anything else ?

Do I need diff gears at all ?

Is there any parts that won't fit from a BF to my BA ?

Is it being a ute make any difference what so ever ?

Might sound like a stupid question, but was meaning in terms of diff gears as I'm sure the tailshaft is different.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers marto

Ute to ute won't be a problem, just bolt over trans, clutch, diff (think the ratios are different)and possibly tail shaft, may as well do it anyway cos everything will be out. Ute to sedan you might need a tail shaft and diff.

Even if the ratios are different, you don't HAVE to change the diff.

Jump down to the advertisers forums and look up Mal Woods mate, send him a PM and he will be able to answer any question you can think of regarding the manual drive train....best in the business

Cheers,

Ben

Funny you say that, I PM'd Mal after I made the thread, still waiting to hear from him.
