I don't do track days (work car), however I enjoy spirted runs through twisty roads and the current standard suspension feels like a boat and does not give you much confidents pushing it into corners IMO. After speaking to a few different places, I have been told to look at white line sway bars and Tein suspension. I see a lot of people on this forum are using TEIN and seem to be happy, however just wanted to know how hard is the suspension for everyday driving? I am a rep and drive my car around a fair bit and was worried that the tein set up might be a bit hard for everyday use. Had an STi in the past and at the end of every week my back was sore. Would going with this set up be an over kill for my use?Ben

Guest XR09 Guests Posted 25/03/10 06:55 AM Share Posted 25/03/10 06:55 AM If you never want to do a track day, I think you should talk to Pat @ wholesale suspension. I think you could get a much better set up for your car for the money you will outlay on Teins. The joy of the Teins is that they are adjustable. Firm to very stiff I have the Teins and like them. I don't have them completely wound down and have them set almost soft. In the dry they start working around 80 to 100. They don't like speed bumps or badly repaired roads. traction in the wet can be more difficult, and more road noise from using them will be noticeable, not bad just noticeable. I have done runs to Rocky and Mackay and never suffered a sore back, Most of that run is 80 to 100 and they are fine at that speed.

Now, I may have got the sales person on an off day, however when enquiring about the suspension he really was not much help, almost like he didn't want to sell them to me??? One word answers, very little detail explained etc... He even told me that the edfc was a waste of time and only there for, and I quote "tossers who like gadgets and pushing buttons."What is it with some businesses today? You would think that they would be keen as mustard to sell some products? Not only was he customer service crap, he put SH*$T on his own product!!!????As a sales manager myself, I would shoot any of my staff who gave that level of service.Ben

I love mine but the edfc would be a nice addition I don't have. My car handles much better and felt good at the track.Benny

It's nice to have if you can afford it. Close to a grand fitted I believe. It is my next thing. Even if I would only use it for a month. I wonder whats happening at Fulcrom with Tein, your not the first to complain.
