Guys,

please tell me how and or tools required to remove the large plasic finishing panel that sits inside the boot across and under the lock area of the BA.

Hey, I think there is plastic clips with a centre pin you push in from memory

Do you mean the bit where if you have the boot open, its the hard plastic piece which goes across the bottom of the boot space (almost bear the bumper) and it has a hole in it where the boot locking mechanism goes through?

If so all you do is :

1) pull back the carpet a bit to expose it all

2) use a big flat-blade screwdriver to pop out the 3 clips which are on the vertical side of the trim (the side facing the front of the car)

3) pull back the boot rubber seal which goes over the top of it, enough to expose the whole thing

4) lift the whole plastic up, and it will unclip

Installation is a reversal of those 4 steps

If any of the plastic clips break just get them from supercheap. They sell all the different styles of plastic clips that are on our fords.
