yea they would run a higher compression than the turbo, I would think the turbo engine has a stonger bottom end.

turbo engine has stronger rods then the NA, E-Gas engine has stronger rods then the turbo engine.

Pistons are different in each

BA NA motors had higher comp pistons, that's all.

Gas motors had the slightly stronger late BF rods.

I bought a NA taxi engine and turned it into a 1000hp strong engine, from all the research I did only difference between na and turbo engine is

RODS

Pistons

Valve springs

exhaust valves (dearest part and hardest to find)

Picked up a na Ba engine $500 and basically bought all the internals I required and built it from there.......the crank, block and everything else was sweet. Even the oil return was sweet on the sump only difference between turbo and na sump was the turbo return was there just not drilled out so we just drilled out the oil return for the turbo easy as....but if u can buy a cheap turbo engine I would makes the process a lil easier, when it comes to the head and cams, unless u plan on porting your head (I did cost small fortune) and buy after market cams.

hi Philbo84, I have bought a ba na long motor (bought from oz wreck in dandy victoria)( last week ). just in case my motor goes BOOM lol. I have couple questions,

where is the oil feed(for turbo) on the n/a motor/block? or do I have to get it taped n drilled? the sump looks easy to do. also looking for the engine numbers on the block I cant find them anywhere. (I got a invoice with the eng numbers when I bought motor, its just I want to double check the numbers if they match. (just for peace of mind)

is it necessary to change the valves? in n/a motor, aren't they the same as turbo ones?

kind regards: Jimmy

on my previous post, near the end I was asking about the ''exhaust valves'' lol

oil feed comes from a banjo that is screwed into the oil pressure sensor hole then the oil pressure sensor is screwed into the banjo...

what is the gas motors cams and valves like compared to the turbo and na?

if you were to build a mild turbo motor the gas one would be the one to get because it has the same rods as turbo, then either skim the pistons to down the comp or fit a thicker head gasket or put in lower cr pistons.....

turbo has stainless exhaust vales to cope with the extra head from the turbo...
