Posted 24/03/10 09:30 AM Share Posted 24/03/10 09:30 AM something like this rhr..Maaate....that looks trick doesn't it.... Hell yeah....I could just see Robbo and the tribe in one of those in a couple of years time Holden's Bogan special wagon finished right up there at the recent 12 hour at Bathurst... A huge marketing coup for them.... Honestly....I don't know what Ford is thinking...talk about a "missed" opportunity

They finally gave up on a fight they could never win. Edited 24/03/10 09:34 AM by Dillz

Member 753 Member For: 15y 9m 26d Gender: Male Posted 24/03/10 10:51 PM Share Posted 24/03/10 10:51 PM The ute will be next.....Why would ford build a one-off in the world ute when ALL their ideas are global? The only way it would work is to follow the Expensive Daewoo example and build one based on the falcon sedan platform, whatever that will be in the future... IBOO57 Member 538 Member For: 15y 6m 9d Posted 26/03/10 05:27 AM Share Posted 26/03/10 05:27 AM (edited) When I bought the XR6T I looked around to buy a Chrysler 300C SRT-8 wagon as I reckon they look wicked (that's where Expensive Daewoo got the VE wagon style from anyways) but unfortunately they hadnt dropped in price enough for me to be able to afford one.The ford wagon looked ass anyway so if they cant be bothered trying to compete with the Commodoreor the SRT-8 wagons it says a lot IMHO.Think back to the 70s and the Ford 2 doors XA - XB and XC looked way better than the HQ Monaroever did and swallowed massive rubber under the ass. Expensive Daewoo Brings out the Monaro again in the 90sto great reviews and fanfare and once again Ford couldnt be assed to compete with it let alone putit to shame like they did in the 70s.Shame that the Ford Australia bosses cant see that having a Halo car helps sell more base models.(and no an ugly as sin EL GT isnt a Halo car) Rant over........ mercuryturbo Oh look.... a real car, with no hair dryer Donating Members 1,724 Member For: 18y 4m 13d Gender: Male Location: Fear and Loathing in Callala Bay Posted 26/03/10 05:42 AM Share Posted 26/03/10 05:42 AM Yep, Fords last halo car was the hardtop.I remember reading that when it was originally designed back in the late 60's all the designs had big wheels & fat rubber on the back but the marketing dept. & beancounters of time demanded the pizza cutter wheels of the sedan be fitted. Some things never f*ckin change. And I agree with Dillz, Ford Designers of the Wagon are Clueless and should stick to their after hours jobs. I was sure I saw an FG Wagon only weeks ago on the M4, going the other way so I didnt get the best look at the thing. Rooster... Send that FG Wagon to FRAUD. Deadset wat a bunch of clowns they have working in there... Lucky Im a Expensive Daewoo Man.. My Turbo is a company car
