Driving on the M7 (Sydney) this morning saw a B Double demolished on the side of the road and behind it a small FWD, maybe subaru squashed. Heard on the radio guy in car was in the breakdown lane and truck left the road and went straight over the top. There was no chance to survive that. Trucky serious in hospital. Its one thing to see it on the news but another thing to see it close up with the rescue team trying to remove the victim from the vehicle. Very sobering stuff. It was a tipper with dog trailer. The dog had separated and was nearly 20m up the road, dirt everywhere with the forester that was hit in-between the trailer and prime mover. Emergency lanes are not to take calls.. the right thing would have been a blue tooth kit operated not from the phone, or just let it ring out...This statistic should not have happened, but it did...
