Rotated them to the front a month ago and they grip very very well around corners still, I'm impressed.Paid 300 for a PAIR, delivered to my door in WA (thanks to forum tip from ages back - option1garage).Ling longs on the back are great for...very little except to make the car spin the tyres too often. Stupid impulse buy in order to get the tyres balanced :/ Edited 04/04/10 05:42 AM by -SteveR-

The Dunlop Sport Maxx had done 21000km. I was expecting the Federals to be noticeably inferior, but this is not the case. In all honesty, after 1000km with the new tyres, I have noticed no difference (this includes some wet weather driving too). They seem very grippy in both wet and dry conditions and they certainly inspire confidence. At first I thought there may have been a bit more roll in the tyres when turning into a corner at speed, but I think that may have been a case of imagining deficencies because I was expecting the tyres to be much worse.I paid $186 fitted, which is an absolute bargain. The bloke at Jax Quickfit said they were good tyres and he had them on his XR6 ute. After 1000km, I'd have to agree.I hope this helps others considering alternative to the excellent, but horrrendously overpriced, Dunlop SPort Maxx. I just bought a set of 595SS for $100 each, not fitted. not sure what to expect from them really being such a budget tyre, but they seem to get ok reviews.
