Yeah it was Jman. He joined us at Noojee and I spoke to him up top. Said he was putting out around 350 I think he said. Reckons he had gone through about 3 4Sp autos and it had started slipping on the way up. Georgous colour, had a shimmer to it.

Shame you couldn't make it. Wanted to look at your rear tyres. GR8XR6 showed me his rolled rear guards and I had to do a double take. I had to stand and compare them to mine to see they had been rolled. SUCH a good job. But when you looked you could obviously see they had been rolled.

Rusty, mate, tops pics man. Captured my colour really well. I left the cam with my daughter and she has taken a few good ones but alot of the same. Thank god we dont pay for film anymore. lol (Love ya BBear)

my rear tyres are nothing to brag about.

Marangonis started out great... then slowly turn to sh*t.

Not exactly a tyre that lasts. Have cracks all over the sidewalls. The front Marangonis didn't even last 3 months before they started deflating.

TOYOS/NITTOS semislicks are on my to do list:innocent:

Aaron, I actually don't think your car is that small at all. In fact for a small car its pretty big. And those in the know look at the XR5 and know they have got poke mate. I always say, it sh1ts me that I spend a bucket on my car, you rock up and even in stock trim, really give me a run, especially around corners.

As for brakes, I think the BAs definately suffered from lack of brakes. A premo package was later available and on the BFs or BFII it was standard. Bigger rotos and calipers tot he front at least.

that's why I upgraded and beleive me the difference is mammoth.

But you are right, it seems strange, but then I don't really think Ford knew what they had done when they bolter the turbo onto the 6. Arent we glad they did though?

For info, what mods have you dont to your pocket rocket? The zorst sounds awesome.

Cheers.

yea my car has a big bum! It definately likes corners but nothing compared to you guys in a straight line. But I prefer my corners anyways.

Hmmm no wonder why you have your crazy brake setup. That's some serious stopping power!

Mods are:

3" turbo back exhaust with 100cell cat.

Dreamscience CAI

airtech FMIC

pedders springs

24mm rear swaybar

some generic tune

things Im looking at doing this year would be a quaife LSD and a proper tune. Does anyone know of any tuneshops in melb that have worked with 5Ts? I was thinking about going up to blue power to see if they can sort me out

Aaron, I go to Nizpro and make no secret about it, but I know some guys have issues with them. That said, everyone has their preference for tuners and of course there will be some horror stories out there.

I do know that Dave from Nizpro as a 5T and was looking at doing similar to the XR6s I think because there is a bigger overseas market. So you may keep them in your phone book as a place to enquire. While I recomend them for my T, they ARE expensive and you either like Simon or you don't.

But sounds like you have done a bit already. Have you Dyno'd it yet?

I just think the 5T in all black is absolutley an awsome looking car. Yours is ok, not keen on the stripes, a bit out there for me, but I'm 46 and need to be conservative (yeah right).
