If you loose your license in any state or country then you cant drive anywhere else by law. You can, but if you get caught you are charged with unlawfully driving whilst disqualified. 6 months extra loss time first time caught now. They also can nab you for unlawfully obtaining a permit to drive if they are feeling narky and want to completely reem you.

But if your desperate Finland is the easiest place in the world to get a license.

Please tell me what friggen state or country you are reffering too. Not just for this post but for every other post on this forum you even make again. All you ever do is write about how everything occurs in your neck of the woods and convince everyone else on here that it applies globally.

On this post you have done nothing but guess!

Unlawfully driving whilst disqualified??? The only problem I have with this is that there is no such thing as lawfully driving during a period of disqualification. Mind boggling................

And on the off chance you are referring to NSW, please dont on such issues. . .ever again.

hey all, just after a bit of help, ive lost my licence in canberra for 12 months. and im moving to victoria next month, im wanting to know can I get my victorian licence, or does the suspension carry over?? does it carry over to every state>? anyone know any information on this would be much appreciated... :)

The fleeing to other states for a licence because yours has been canned is becomming very popular. Aside from the difficulties there is, you have to make a false declaration in order to do so. On any licence application or inter-state transfer you must decalre that you have not lost your licence for other reasons. If you get caught out this little catch makes your actions a crime and more serious then a few extra months off the road.

Finland ... really? I heard in PNG it was a case of beer and your done. cant get much easier than that

My friend from Indonesia got his license at 15, by giving $500 to a guy at the motor registry centre (in his home country). The irony is that it costs way more to get a license legitimately in Indo, hence the "Rupiah Handshake" is quite common.

yeah but look at the quality of the roads there. doubt you would see the types of cars that there are here. They must think we are crazy with police cars worth twice / three times the value of a typical car.

PMT maybe? :fishin::rolleyes:

For what its worth FInland is not the easiest place on the planet to get a drivers licence.

To obtain a licence in Finland you actually have to know how to drive, not just follow the rules like you do in places like Australia. In fact, part of the test entials you having to powerslide a car through a corner. A skill that 90% of the Australian driving public couldn't perform!

FWIW the easiest place to get a licence is any third world country.

Absolutely. In India if you handed them $1000, not only would they print you up a valid licence right there and then, they would invite you to their house afterward and throw a party in your honour.

Why the tantrum? :unsure:

Because if anyone on here was to listen to him they would get arrested and never get a licence again.

Driving during any period of disqualification carries an automatic 2 year disqualification on top of what you already have, but this equals your second serious traffic offence and if you have any others, sush as drink driving your declared an habitual traffic offender, where your automatic 2 years gets an automatic 5 years added to it, so your now in the 7 years and beyond with no licence saga.

Not a few months here and there as he keeps plucking.
