There seems to be alot of Colour Wars going on at the moment ;

So to add fuel to the fire what do you think would be the best colour from a resale perspective.

I think the BluePrint will resell a lot better as this would be more attractive to your younger drivers who cant afford to go out and buy new.

What do you you all think ?

:innocent:

Guy here in Perth had his Blueprint on the market for three weeks longer than mine, auto, leather, 18" wheels, quite a bit spent on it. Sold it the other day for the same price as mine. So I would say HgAg is the better for resale.

I bought the car to enjoy it, I drive it like I stole it, I enjoy it.

Who cares about re-sale, when you got an awesome colour to look at each day, not just a grey thing... :D

... I drive it like I stole it ...

Well you should give it back to it's real owner so they can drive it properly. <_<

This is going to get ugly again, isn't it?

Yeah, definately agree with the silver, black, white theory. They are always the most popular colours out of all cars as well.

And when you look back at older colours and their more extreme colours, you see that they start to wear off after a while and just don't blend in with societies newer cars/colours.

Best colour for resale depends on the type of car and the type of image it is to portray

A Brambles Red XYGT will bring more money than a white XYGT in the same condition

A white, black, blue or red SS Late model camira will bring more money than that Tiger Poo colour

A silver BMW will bring more than a plain white or green BMW

A white WRX is easier to sell than a green WRX

The colours that are best for resale also must take into account the type of shade of that colour

EG: Blood Orange, Citric Acid and Phantom are great shades of colour as opposed to the Acid (vomit) Rush (sorry Chris) which is plain ordinary and will go the same way as Tiger Poo and Hyper Yellow.

Solid colours such as white, red and black always look good. I'm not overly fussed on metallics but they seem to be everywhere these days.

I really prefer coloured shades in the older style like Plum Crazy (Purple) Hemi Orange (self exp.) SubLime, Bondi Bleach White, Mercury Silver (Chrysler had it first!), Hot Mustard etc

These were solid colours however they went out of favour purely because they required lead in the paint, not because fashion changed.

To do those colours now, paint technology has changed so that lead is no longer required.

How about it Ford, what about some GT-HO specials in Moffats Bathurst winning BRAMBLES RED !!
