And theres a few other on this topic that know just as much as I do but are you dismissing them as well. I dont get paid for this or care less if you believe us or not. Our views may always be one sided and rarely to your liking but they will always be very accurate. And I dont think your a believer of the governments stats, so why would you start belieiving ours. For example recently 3 17yr old males stole a ve v8 and an Astra as the proceeds of a break and enter. They then went on several weeks in the stolen car to commit 7 fail to pays, 9 break and enters and egaged police in 3 high speed pursuits all which got terminated due to speed. There are hundreds of examples like this and I see and others on here see them everyday they go to work. Unfortunatly his removal from the geene pool also took out a young family that did not deserve to die.If we are to reduce these types of incidents from occuring, we need to firstly shoot all the civil rights and civil libertarians who set the soft rules our police people need to work to and allow them to use the best methods available. Then maybe they would be what they used to and be a police FORCE. Train them to use the PIT manuver or rolling roadblock or tactical takedowns of these scum. Unfortunatly in NSW the police need to follow the offender, while a senior officer is in the radio room dictating if it is safe to proceed with a persuit. As soon as the offender is deemed as too reckless, they will terminate the persuit. The problem is most crims know the rules the police need to play to, so they cross the center line, run red lights and the cops backoff. So the only 4 ways the police will catch the crim in a persuit is to:1. hope they run out of fuel2. They crash3. They give up4. they run over road spikes which are the only form of active action the police can take.We cannot go about blaming the police for this type of incident, as it is the criminals fault. It is just the media need to blame the police for doing the hardest job in the world and they generally cannot win in the eyes of the public. Putting 20 year sentances on these scum for running will not reduce anything, as they will still try to run, but harder as they do not want 20 years + their other offences. There is only one way to stop this happening and that it to stop the offenders with force to terminate the persuit in a few seconds, not let it run on where innocent people get killed. This is not correct in NSW and makes me think youve read either VIC or W.A policy. Sorry.I.B.
