Thieving @Ssholes Broke Into My Car...

My BF11 F6 was broken into last night in my driveway. First time anything like that has happened on my property in about 20 years of living here (in Brisbane). Thankfully the low-lifes were courteous enough not to break anything and the drivers door was simply left open. They knew exactly what they were after taking my GPS/iPhone holder and iPhone charger - about 1 hundred dollars worth.

I've made a police report so they'll be around today. The security in these cars is next to useless and I'm assuming they just slid something down the window and jimmy'd the door open? I guess the only thing I can do is get an alarm system fitted to the car?

I've searched the forum but can anyone tell me a good place to go in Briusbane western suburbs along with a good system? I've had one in another car and they tend to be less sensitive over time which is something I'm cautious of.

Thanks.

A good way to stop this is to move as far away for the west side as possible lol

I've lived here for 20 years and only once has this happened. Its a good area...

lol cuz there is nothing left in the west side to steal

For your information I know people who have lived at the North Coast for 2 years and have been hit 3 times already. How do you know there's nothing left to steal where I live - are you a thief? Be a little more sensitive...

I've lived here for 20 years and only once has this happened. Its a good suburb that I live in with very low crime (talking to the police in charge of neighbourhood watch here confirmed this).

Mate, its opptunistic. Thieves live where ever and take sh!t where they see it.

Anyone who thinks becuase they live somewhere ritzty they are safe from crime doesn`t undderstand the logistics of crime.

I grew up " out here " and I knew thieves. They`d been in every house in their own streets as well, so really my first sentence in this post rings true.

You were just unlucky. I hope it turns okay for you.
