Coolant Leaking In Car On Drivers Side...

hey guys ive tried using the search function to find the topics about coolant leaking inside care and the heater core problems, as I know there is some, just I cant seem to find them.

any help appreicated though.

was driving around yesterday and started noticing the temperature guage rise, so pulling over I popped the bonnet to notice the coolant bottle was EMPTY. this didnt seem right as not even a week ago the level was inbetween the min and max on the bottle.

waited for the car to cool down a bit then topped it up with water. drove home everything seemed ok again.

when I got back in the car later that day I noticed the floor at my feet was a bit wet, but having rained in the morning I thought it was just from my shoes. went to work..

after finishing work I checked the levels again just to be safe and yes again the bottle was empty..topped it up with more water and went home.

the inside of the car reaked of coolant so I soon realised it wasnt water at my feat it was actually coolant.

ive heard this is the heater core problem, but was wondering if maybe it was due to something else, hose burst etc

what prices would I be looking at, and also where abouts do people recomend I take it as I know FORD will be a ripoff

The Hoses for the heater system stop at the fire-wall. Just had a look at my car. No hoses under the dash. I think it's the heater core. :(
