putting it in there isnt an issue.. size wise etc is no probs... but making it work is a differnt story....couple people I know have done it.. and it would ave been sh*t loads cheaper to buy an xr6t and putting an xt body kit on it!!! Had to spend a lot of coin to make it go... and still issues.

Won't be an issue at all, but be much easier if you get ICC, ECU and BEM from the donor car as well and making sure that it was running the same trans as the XT.

If you only get the engine from the donor car and use the ECU etc from the xt, it won't start or run and you will need to get it to either ford or a tuner to get the appropriate tune codes installed.

HAs been done plenty of times, here's one done by RDP not long ago. RDP Motorsport Australia Forum • View topic - BA XT TURBO CONVERSION

Cheers,

Ben

that's utilizing the xt motor.

prob easier to swap a long motor in (+ ECU).

Is there a full write up somewhere of what needs to be done by RDP?

no worries, the RDP one was just bolt on manifold, turbo and exhaust to the standard BA engine, not a complete long conversion.

Either way, just as easy, you will get more HP out of a long conversion.
