Hey people,

I'm going to check out some dark agents from a guy I know through a friend of a friend.

they are going pretty cheap. with tyre's. I know there are some fakes kicking around. just wondering if anyone has

any pointers or things to check out to make sure they are real.

im pretty sure for a rim to be 'legal' to sell they need to be 10% diff than the orig.

if anyone could help out would be great...

cheers

I`m guessing that the fakes would all be " front " fitment wheels, which is too say some wouldn`t have the thicker centre like the OEM rears do.

This agrees with Stazza`s post and sort of explains why.

I gather the front Brembo`s on a Phoon stick out a bit over the stock brakes and they added a bit of fat to the centre of the rear wheels to get the front and rear track the same.

I know there are only a few minor aesthetic details, but I would only put originals on.

quality and knowing they are the real deal.

thinking of keeping the 18's ive got for the track/strip.

Just watch out with the 18"s. I have the factory 18s, the ones with the charcoal inserts that came out on the BF Update. I absolutely love them wheels but they wouldnt fit over my brakes. For $50 I could have got spacers but then you all would have hated me and I woudl have hated myself so I went and got the wheels you are looking at. Real, fake, I dunno. They are good, look great and clear my brakes so now I can stop.

Point is, if your upgrading brakes, just check your wheels will physically fit over the calipers.
