hey guys,

ive got normal 256k broadbandand, and for the last week I have been able to download at anywere between 1.0-2.5 mb/s basically adsl2 speeds.... is anybody else experience this? on a good day I would usual get speeds of 23kb/s so this is pretty good!! is telstra doing something or am I just getting lucky?

It could be a ploy to get people to shift as well.

Give you a taste of ADSL2+ then wind you back after a couple of weeks.

I found telstra is the worst mate.. averaging 25 to 30.. adls2

mate of mine on tpg gets close to 60.. lol that's just adsl2

I am also with Telstra (unfortunately) but got a letter last week to say my ADSL speeds were increasing 4 fold so that could be it.

No extra cost, just extra speed and service (not) :bangcomputer:

I found anytime I phoned my ISP about QOS issues would be fixed after they left me on hold for half and hour and made me reset my modem and router

my work has 10mb business grade fibre running to our head office and 80 other sites with a 100mb SHDSL from the ISP to our DC - $120K + a month .. im happy. :)

flukey, I got the same letter the other day aswell, apparently were getting moved to a differen broadbandturbo plan. not the best but its faster then what I was getting, so cant really complain about it!
