Positive connects to the old positive where the battery was, while I tucked the negative inside the relay box.The middle positive plug is connecting to the starter motor where a positive cable already is (piggi back). Then the positive and negative goes on the new battery.Lights work, radio is on security lock (blah!) and yeah everything works but the car still wont click over. Makes a zap / click noise when I try tick it over but won start.Any ideas? Do I need to reset anything to get the car going?

Check it bud.... I remeber something about another earth lead being required...

You dont need the other positive lead on the starter anymore as its not hooked up to anything unless your running something else off there. When I fitted my Nizpro battery kit I took the old positive lead out completely.Have you got the new positive end at the fusebox fixed to the post in the fuse box or have you just attached it to the old positive battery terminal.. Posted 14/03/10 10:52 AM Author Share Posted 14/03/10 10:52 AM I just have the old negative lead hanging there (taped up) and tucked inside the fuse box so its not showing. (not that it matters as the nizpro intake box is hiding it all.I have connected the nizpro positive teminal to the old positive terminal, then ran it ontop of the radiator where the water overflow pipe runs, and then the middle positive lead is now connecting to the starter motor where there is another positive cable (im guessing the standard power to the old positive battery cable). Pic below (the white one is the nizpro one):(both cables on starter). The negative is on the block now as seen below:then there is the positive and negative on the battery. All the terminals are used from the nizpro kit.Ive just had an idea though....should I disconnect the old power cable from the starter to the old positive terminal in the old battery box? Maybe the power is looping?

And it is definitely worth a try.
ebxmple Member 1,322 Member For: 16y 11m 8d Posted 15/03/10 09:55 AM Share Posted 15/03/10 09:55 AM Yeah mate...piss the old cable off all together as its not needed and put the new end straight onto the fusebox post where the 13mm nut is. Run the new cable the same way as the old one but its a good idea to wrap it with some heat shielding near the turbo. Just keep the old one somewhere if you ever want to return it to stock. Have you tried jump starting it?

Posted 16/03/10 12:11 PM Author Share Posted 16/03/10 12:11 PM okwell im still having iussues here and its quite frustrating atm.I disconnected the stock power lead from the starter to the positive terminal on the standard battery loom. So now it goes:Nizpro positive cable in Relay box > starter motor > positive in battery.Ground cable to block > negative on battery.Still no good. Lights inside and out all work. I hear the buzz noise near the starter when I try start but no turning over still. Could my starter be rooted? Or have I possibly somehow put the positive terminal on the wrong terminal on the bottom of the starter? I noticed there are 2 bolts on the back of the starter. dont know if the other is a neggative, or if its just another positive for a 2nd connection for whatever reason. It has nothing connecting to it.For a test, I said F THIS, and I put my stock battery back in. Connected that all up and removed the nizpro air kit. Connected old positive and negative....SAME PROBLEM.Car STILL wont start....something is wrong somewhere.....where do I start? I tried swapping relays over in the fuse box inside the engine bay with the head lamp ones. still nothing....havn't gone through all the fuses. Would this be a fuse thing or sounds worse off? Posted 18/03/10 08:02 AM Author Share Posted 18/03/10 08:02 AM well still having issues. removed nizpro kit all together for now, put normal stuff back together. Same problem.Looks like the car has a issue shorting somewhere. I turn the light son and inside the engine fuse box I can hear and feel the relays vibrating and clicking.....any ideas where to start searching for power leaks or shorts?
