hi there

I managed to remove my air con fan because it was making an annoying clicking noise on mid to low settings. I oiled it with some silicon oil and it stopped the noise for about one week but I have noticed it has return. Does anyone know what other oil I could use on it to make it quiet again or should I look at purchasing a new fan.

I found this catalogue online and it had an aftermarket BA falcon fan so I've email them for a quote. Just wondering if anyone here know's the price of a new fan. I'd prefer to fix the old one if possible but not sure what else I can do but oil it.

Cheers

Nial

Yea I got a bf2 ute and same thing with that fan noise, yet to have a look at it. I was thinking it just slightly touches something.

$183 was from these guys - Ashdown Ingram

I've pull my fan out again and cleaned it up again and then greased it with some boating grease. Its not making any noise at the moment but it took about a week for the noise to come back after I oiled it last time. Hopefully the grease will last a little longer otherwise I might try get some prices from wreckers.

Hi Guys,

My company actually sells these as well, can do them for $101.25 + GST ex brisbane, add $20.00 + Gst for airbag freight Australia wide.Have 6 only in stock at the moment, few months before more stock arrives.

Pm me for further details - Cheers Darren

I had this problem too (noise at low fan settings)I think it has something to do with the fan touching the housing Ford finally replaced mine after numerous attempts to fix it the bodgy way...

I dont think the genuine item is rediculously expensive I think it was under $200 from memory though dont quote me on this.
