Well going to headsex for a retune this weekend/next weekend, so I thought id get stuck into fitting my new 4" nizpro relocation kit + airbox and let danny fit the surge tank.

Anyway I came into this problem. Pictures tell a thousand words.

Here blue circle is the 4" nizpro pipe that goes to the turbo.

The green circles connect to each other via another pipe (which is in the way so I cant fit the nizpro pipe unless I bend the crap out of the intercooler rubber pipe (green circle down the bottom)

Here is the pipe that is in the way that goes under the battery to the passanger side I/cooler.

This AVO kit seems to be a headache and now whoever has their kits would have this issue.

Anyone got any solutions without BUYING A NEW INTERCOOLER KIT. Anyone got access to rubber hoses that I can clamp together? Who can I go to, to manufacture a rubber pipe I need?

That look likes a real pain in the ringer...Downside of rubber piping is crimping / spliting at high boost.. And getting something custom made could be pricey..Are you running a plenum, and is that the reason the AVO pipe isn't connected to the throttle body.

ok I got 90% of the way there. I used one of the metal black pipes of the normal airbox that im not using anymore, and now all I need is a 45 degree rubber connector hose.

So close yet so far. will buy it tomorrow from supercheap/autobarn. Minimal crease in the intercooler pipe which is a plus. Might get away with it. See what headsex says after he see it. Hopefully wont laugh to much.

need to cut the airbox too now to fit over that stupid pipe that's under the battery. More fabrication to the kit. Lucky tin snips/scissors will be enough to cut it out.

I have ran the battery relocation kit. Need to put the earth to the block somewhere. Probablly a bolt under the water neck / thermostat housing. Getting the 8mm drill out tomorrow to sit the battery tray in then I can fit the new odyssey battery up.

This avo kit is a ball breaker. Make sure noone gets it ever.

The AVO kit is ugly..Too many pipes and as you have found out not very easy to change CAI's..Nothing like smooth sleak Plazmaman ,Process West or Rapid kits..Let us know how you go *Beep*... Good work so far

If these sheet metal plenums were selling for sub 1k they would be flying out the door, there wouldnt be enough aluminium available to produce the demand for them!

At the ~$1500 mark they are sold and fitted few and far between. Drop the prices, increase sales, increase revenue, increase customer satisfaction.

I would love a kit that had a battery location CAI, with a UBP to TB pipe, like what is trying to be achieved here. I don't need more piping by going to 'stage 2' intercooler that makes the engine bay more cluttered than it already is...

 .......sorry I just could not help myself.

To be honest you are never going to fit the Nizpro intake, or any other intake (4" or under battery), with what you currently have. Sure you can squeeze it all in there but it is going to look ugly and have more leaks then a pasta strainer.

Correct me if I am wrong but the AVO kit is much like the stock OEM crossover piping and uses a cooler that the inlet/outlet on both sides? If so your best bet is to buy the rest of the Nizpro kit or any other of kit that either utilities a plenum or has the cold side piping running up the passenger of the engine.

Good luck :spoton:
