Needed em though while boosting off the line. street tyres were very difficult but still managed to get a 2.07 60ft, took a few practices and patienceNext time I will be going with m/t's

Its actually weird and feels smooth. (fck that sounds gay! lol)I actually found the gear change from 1st-2nd while smoking the tyres worse as the pop/brap you get from the engine to make it easier on the gearbox creates the worst axle tramp/banging ever... He recommended it that way for launching, did he tell you something else?

The car will bite hard on the brakes but as the revs pass through 3000ish, in one co-ordinated action: punch forward into first gear, jump off the brake & floor it. You will feel like you're going to wheel stand and should pull a 1.6-1.7 60' if you've done it right.I believe the secret to walking away from a hard ZF launch is to not sit on the line under boost for more than a fraction of a second. AS SOON as you pass through 3,000RPM (if you have not already started to turn the tyres if they're a little cold, old or bald) punch first gear and get on your way.Best of luck

Worked for me (excuse threadjack)This is what it looks like - Private Road.
