I just did the 52,500km oil change myself and was shhocked to see how black and carboned up the oil was only after 7500kms.... It made me wonder if Ford changed the oil at all, it looked very old. What oil does Ford use? I filled it back up with some lovely Fully Syn Penrite and I will be doing all future changes myslef. Ford will not see thFor those who do their own changes, is this normal for even higher quality oils? For those who wait 15,000kms between changes...I'd re-think that strategy... I checked my receipt from back then and they certainly charged me for it... The only reason it was serviced by Ford was it was its first one since I had first bought it at 40,000kms and I had some warranty work to get done, from emeory they did change it, I remember checking now... but it must be some low-grade crap to be that black so quickly. I'm sure there will be more turbo failures and sludge problems for those who own 150,000km or more BAs with 15,000 servicing the only love given.Ford will never see my car again. They did some great warranty work for me though, credit where credit is due, but I will choose what fluids from now on....
