Hi Anchor,

I think at this stage I am either going a 5/2010 G6E Turbo for $52640 drive away.

or a 4/2010 G6E Turbo demo with 1000klms for just under $49,000 drive away.

Thought I would wait until Tuesday to see if there are any more factory incentives.

Oh and... I wouldn't worry about the headlight protectors, IMO they don't really have a place anymore. Since the falcons headlights are made of polycarbonate they can take anything the bumper or bonnet can, plus more.

Old glass headlights made sense to have a polycarbonate cover, but covering your polycarbonate headlights with polycarbonate just means they are hard to clean, and more likely to be damaged by the rubbing of the cover than breaking without them.

unless you want them, or I'm wrong. :turboboink:

P.S. don't ever cut and polish the headlight, or they'll go misty and look :pooh:

Dash I agree with you totally however on my BA NA I traded in for the T, I had protectors on it up till about 75k then took them off. When I traded it at 100k on the odo, the headlights look like they were sandblasted. So I agree for breaking issues, ya don't need them but for overall protection, they is a must. (Plus my daughter works at super cheap and I get 25% off)

Hey man I think that's way too high, I got a 2009 Dash XR6T Manual with Tech Pack in February this year.

It was a demo but only had 70km's on it. Got it for $36990 drive away, I searched around for months.

I'm in Brisbane and they were in Mackay it cost me $500 to get it delivered and it took 4 working days,

that was one of the best deals around I think.

I'd personally keep looking, try to get a demo with next to no km's like I did.

Been loving it ever since :omg:

Oh also I got headlight covers and bonnet protector for $180 total I think when I got my courtesy service,

refused to charge for fitting.

Got my order in for 2010 FG XR50 Turbo, with all the included extras, $47950 D/A in Auto. This is a standard ford price, tried negotiating but as there a limited edition of 600 got nowhere. Anyway, I was pretty happy with that.

I'm looking at the xr50 too. ford website says 45,950 but I'm guessing that's for the manual. I also noticed it mentions rec pricing. So surley there has to be some movement with the dealer. They will be releasing these in batches until Oct that's when I'll be ready to buy and hopefully as been out for few months they will be ready to negotiate.

Yeah $45,950 is for a manual, auto $2k xtra. I thought I'd be able to haggle also, but ford have stated no discounting at the moment.

Cant wait in the hope they become negotiable, as theres only 600 turbo's, who knows how quickly they'll sell.

When you look at the normal XR6T RRP in auto its $50,380 plus on roads and that's without all the extras, think full price would be about $60k, so $48k seems a good deal. Anyway, deposit paid and I have been allocated a stock number so I'm happy with that.

Good luck hope you manage to hold out for a better price, I want mine NOW. :turboboink:

I wasnt sure which colour to get till I saw Sunburst, looks nothing like the web photos. It's kinda a browny/gold metallic and just looks different. Wanted Black originally but had a black car before and was always trying to keep it clean looking. Was also worried about marks and scratches sticking out like a dogs balls. Think this colour will be a lot better at hiding imperfections over the years.

Available colours are: Silhouete, Sunburst, Nitro, Edge (dark charcoal), Lightning Strike, White & Viper.

Bryan Byrt in Mt Gravatt have a standard XR in sunburst for anyone in the area who wants to see the colour.

Like everything its down to personal choice, but I liked it straight away. And with the inclusion of full leather, premium sound and 19"s I was sold within 5 mins.

Happy Shopping :beerchug:
