that's pretty good. We're trying to sell a 12/09 black manual with every option on the list(alloy spare, lux pack, alarm, tech pack, safety pack, rev sens, rev cam, sat nav and only 40km for 51,000. Reason being its 09 and black. that's pretty much a $0 deal.

*sedan.

Picked it up this morning... F..k it does go in a strait line and is OK around corners but quality was not part of the build, it was thrown together. My last car was a Golf GTI and it S..t on the ford for build quality.

Taxis consistently doing 1 million klms? Ford literally punishes Falcons in durability testing as much as any car in the world, as Australian conditions are not kind on a world scale.

Volkswagen consistently towards the top of new car customer complaint surveys, along with all the Euro brands. I'd like to hear your detailed opinion on the Falcon being "thrown together" in comparison to the Golf.

BTW, I've ordered my silhouette FG XR6T 2010, auto, lux pack, tech pack. 2 weeks in, probably another 2-3 weeks until delivery. My 2nd XR6T, first was a BA. After that a BA2 XR8... biggest mistake I ever made. Won't say what I payed, staff discount price... :icon_ford:

You do know joe blo and buy one at the same price. Theoretically.. Unless its part of the employee discount program, which isn't applicable to 2010 cars anyway.

Really down to how much the dealer wants to make in order to pay bills/staff.

Or if you work for the factory..

An immediate family member worked on staff for 30+ years, I get full staff discount. You are just plain wrong about the discount not being had on 2010 cars. :spoton:

I've been given the employee discount program reduction on a March build + the current $1900(from memory) reduction for Feb build car(XR6T), which the dealer has extended for me even though it's a new build... + I negotiated more off that price also.

I'm paying a touch over 41k drive away. If any Joe Blo can walk in and negotiate a 2010 build with lux/tech packs, mats, tank of fuel for that price... I take my hat off to them. :beerchug:

To all.... be sure not to see Anchor for a deal if you're a Ford staff member or immediate family member of.

Dunno if that last part was really needed smartass...

As for the discount, it's up to ford what cars fall under the staff program. Usually its just one model each year at a certain time, but due to low sales it's now all old stock etc. If they've sold you a 2010 one well good for them, I can almost bet that they would have lost money on that sale.

I apologies if it came across smart.. was tongue in cheek the last comment.

I didn't want to quote the price, but considering the number of cars my family have purchased/leased over the years, it's good to get a price like that and pretty much justified. I still went to 3 other dealers, all of whom wouldn't match it.. so you're probably right.

Haven't actually driven an FG XR6T yet, just an XT... didn't have the chance to test drive one. Loved my BA XR6T to death. Really looking forward to getting the FG, can't wait!

So I'm looking at coming back to a ford. Can anyone, especially those who are in the business give me some advise on how much movement or price I could get in the following examples.

1) 2010 Demo or near new FG XR6T, Auto, premium sound, Tech pack $???

2) 2009 Ex executive FG XR6T, Auto 30,000km premium sound, tech pack, reverse sensors $39,999

3) Demo or 2nd hand 09 FPV F6 with 18,000-30000km $57,945

Cheers
