bjc Donating Members 2,823 Member For: 21y 7m 7d Gender: Male Location: Townsville Posted 10/03/10 05:09 AM Share Posted 10/03/10 05:09 AM PHANTMXR6,Just be careful with mounting the amp upside down. this is considered a big no no as heat gets trapped in the circuits and doesn't easily dissipate through the heatsink.I did it also in the same place and although it works 90% of the time, if I have had my car in the sun for a few good hours my amp (earthquake) wont work until it has cooled down.The parcel shelf gets boiling hot under there in the sun. I'll take a temp reading next time my amp isn't working to show you how hot it is.I will end up mounting mine in the same place but up the right way and see what happens.
