that's pretty usual.

you can replace the plastic intercooler pipes with aluminium ones- often the hot side factory plastic pipes near the intercooler will burst.... :roflmbo:

Well I was driving in the city on my way to a Service call. I ended up pulling up in a bus lane and got my tools out and re-tightened the clamp.

I then got my flash tuner out and put it on economy. Boost goes lower than stock now, 1/2 a Bar. Bout 6 or 7 PSI.

I felt the loss of power straight away but its better this way, Still rips up !

Just thought I'd post the issue I had incase someone has a fix for it. Can that pipe be changed ?

Yes I had a look at the cooler pipes. The hot side was really warped. The cool side wasn't as bad. Where can I get the piping from. Will I need a tune ?

Won't need a retune if you're just changing pipes. Any decent exhaust shop will be able to replicate the plastic piping. Get it bent out of suitable sized aluminium and change the rubber connectors to silicon joiners, should never come apart then.

They give you a fright when the pipes let go huh!!??

Don't know much about the FG, but should only be a boost sensor and line going to BOV.

As I said, any decent exhaust shop will be able to fabricated pipes up easily and tig in all the required sensor points. Shouldn't cost much more then a few hundred.

Cheers,

Ben
