there is not a better ecu out there for these cars than the factory one, the factory one and X3 is all that is needed but it will take more time to tune with cams as there needs to be qite a bit more work getting the starting, idle and low speed stuff working correctly, power wise there is not much more work, some will tune with out setting all the low speeds stuff and call some of the ongoing issues, normal for a lumpy cam

I'm gonna make the step up to a set of stage 4 cams soon, we've decided against any higher cause of the issues they can cause and something about no longer able to use vct which is ok but you lose abit of the daily comfort you don't need to sacrifice by sticking to the 4's. There is extra power to gain by goin slightly bigger but how much do ya want and can ya live with the compromise???

You cant run big cam's with the VCT brad from Atomic has told me, (Stage 4+ Up Im sure ??) as it cant keep the cam's phased with the crank at high RPM or something along those lines, so they remove all the VCT cam gear's and fit adjustable set...

how much power do you want to make? is it predominately a street car?

well I want to get as much power out of the 998 as I can and im sure everyone else would be too if in the same situation so want to make sure I get the right turbo. Wont be a while until everything starts happening but want to get as much info as I can before I go to my tuner and get things moving... For now the car will be driven on the street a few times a week not sure once everything is done LOL but probly will be still on the street and will take it to the track and hopefully a few shows as much as I can
