you'll find it's the forged pistons and it's probably an earlier motor as they originally used srp pistons which were noisy but there new motors now have cp pistons and I've fitted heaps now and have not heard any noises from them, the only engines I've fitted that were noisy were the nizpro ones early in the piece and I think you'll find they had the same problem with limited choices of pistons back then

Fcuking fun!!!

I will post some vids tonight.

My poor, poor tyres....................

That new Bosch 044 wasn't noisy at all yesterday after I put it in (up near the engine bay) by after a couple of sessions on the track when it got hot, man, does it make some noise now!!

Drifting onto the main straight in third...........priceless! :roflmbo:

It will be interesting to see what the change to 10w-60 synthetic Castrol Edge does to the noise in a week.

I can tell you right now what differance it will make shano, it will make it louder. :slap:

Its the pistons.

Umm, yes it has, a little..........

Not too bad - the fuel pump noise nearly drowns it out............ :roflmbo:

Sweet can't wait to see them. What type of speed were you hitting down the front straight and back straight? Did they shorten the track off and cut the back straight out?

I've got the 600kw parts in my engine and it still has a bit of a rattle, but from what I have heard, this is fairly normal for built engines...
