Not that it helps much, but the new Nizpro engines are super quiet - expensive - but very very nice....

Unfortunately if you are using the normal spec parts and engine build then the noise is just something you are going to have to live with....

Ben, Ben, Ben ........ Nizpro this and Nizpro that .........

Oh yeah ...... I agree !!!! :punchhead:

My Nizpro engine has over 25000km on it and it's as still as quiet as a stocker and that was one of the older build types. At low RPM all you can hear is the gearbox rattling away :idunno:

Cheers

Robin.

Mate, it is not that bad, seriously.

Mine is a little noisy on a cold start but once it warms up, it's fine.

It is especially fine after giving it a little flogging!

I have listened to Shane's after we went for a run and at idle it didn't sound any different than a standard T. As most people would know the reason for the noise when cold is due to the extra clearance forged pistons need when cold because they expand more. Atomic will be using new pistons with a coating in 2007 that will enable them to run closer tolerances. I believe the new pistons have a 100,000 K warranty.
