How's your new motor going??I rebiult mine myself using new ford block,atomic rods,cp forged pistons.Yes it is a little noisy when cold and some times hot and yes we may have been able to close the piston bore clearence up a bit to help this but.And this is the big but at what expense further down the track could a tighter clearance on forged piston cause damage if the motor gets a little to hot.Maybe why take this risk.Set the piston to bore clearance to the piston manufactures settings and be happy knowing that it should be safe.As for just putting rods and using the old pistons if you are doing something do it right and do it once.Ian Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
