hi guys new to the forums, just wanting some of your opinions. Im looking at trading in my Expensive Daewoo ute for a ba xr6t. Its manual, leather seats and has 185000 on the clock, with all log books. just wondering how long these engines last and whether it would be worth swapping it. Im just sick of the two seats and need a bit more power :P.

any input would be greatly appreciated.

fair few K;s there! Even if its hwy K's. Id say find BA/BF bout 120k at most and go from there. You will end up thworing money at mods anyway so no point throwing em on a old motor you just know will be a granade sooner then later

yeah I agree with that *Beep* said, and especially if its a T5 manual. I dont know what your budget is but if its tight id try look for something with no options, just lower K's and a semi auto or 6sp manual. I'd keep looking for another one :turboboink:

There are heaps of turbos around the country for sale, take your time looking for the right one and dont just get the first one you see, what is your budget?

:stirthepot: top advice, there would be LOADS to pick from, and ther would be still quite a few BA's with under a 100 thou around too, you really can afford to be picky
