I hit a huge pothole. This is the end result....FRONTREARSo, my insurance says that I have to foot the excess, and then try and lay a claim against the council. I reported it after it happened, and the Brisbane City Council sent a crew out at 3am on Sunday morning, in the rain to fix the pothole. Will I have any luck getting them to cough up?? I've knocked in my Driverside front and rear, and looked everywhere for 2 replacement rims but can't find any, so I'm looking to claim the $4000, buy a set for $3000, and use the left over 'G' to pay my excess... the council here didn't do sh*t, and my old man works for them as an area manager. I think the condition of roads in QLD are a disgrace. I am going to have a crack at them because I like a fight And who knows what damage has been done to my NEW suspensionBy the way, when they get replaced, I'm selling the set. I will have to run 18s because of the 'Third World' condition of the roads here. Shame though. I love 'em! kirjo Member 113 Member For: 15y 8m 4d Gender: Male Location: Brisbane Posted 01/03/10 12:09 AM Author Share Posted 01/03/10 12:09 AM Yeah, I originally decided on 18s but the guys talked me in to getting 20s. Big mistake . I'm going back to 18s for sure, or even some stocko BA rims. That way I can afford more tyres too! So if anyone are after a mint set of 20s less than 6 months old (2 will be getting replaced) with good rubber, I will do you a good deal. Or swap with standard wheels

Brisbane roads are fantastic as the majority of the states road funding goes there. As the majority of the voting population lives there..the remainder is distributed to us northerners... God help us !!! Our roads are disgusting.. Up here we are slalom experts as we have potholes as you described every 20 meters.... Good luck with suing the council... You may consider it a breach of care...
Guest XR09 Guests Posted 01/03/10 03:28 AM Share Posted 01/03/10 03:28 AM I am not sure who you talk to in Brisvegas. But I did the same to a rim up here on the sunshine coast and I took it to the director of main roads in Gympie. I had photo's of the pothole and my rim and three quotes to replace it. I had the money within in a month.
