hey every one, just wanted some feed back on the rapid Under Battery Intake kit. Im realy interested in one, for performance and sound but have heard only hear dthat they are no good because to change the pod u need to take the front bar off, and that road rubish and water get to the pod. Can any one running the system leave some feed back on what they think and there experiances, I know that rapid make some awsome stuf so id love to hear your responses.

thanks

They are bloody awesome. Yes its true you need to take the bar off or at least the undertray to at even get to the filter, but a KN filter should be good for 12months or longer between cleans(depending on how dusty it is where you live). Also yes I wouldnt cross any swallow river beds or flooded creeks, but seriously, would you consider crossing water that's 30-40cm deep in a car that is as low as an XR6T.

Also you can't use it with the stock IC kit. Would need a IC kit that gets rid of the underbattery IC piping. Bit of a bitch to fit and requires a bit of cutting of metal. But I suppose its better than relocating your battery to the other side of the engine bay or the boot.

All that aside, it sounds great, like a fighter jet on take off. Improves performance and reduces lag.

works well for power chased under 350rwkw. anything over and its recommended you do the airpod of the turbo air intake mod.

I got it in a package with hot side piping. I only fit it last w/e so I haven't had a chance yet. you will DEFINATELY notice the diference. if you want the pigeon dose go the 3" but if you dont care and just want BIG go the 4". I went with plazmaman. great crew to deal with!

I've got this intake as well, sounds good on boost, and flutters very loudly when you close the throttle, I've had it on for 12 months now and never copped any water or anything else foreign into it :pinch:
