Your to be commended on your efforts mate... :spoton:

But its got to get to the stage where you feel as though your banging your head against the wall :spoton:

He's obviously made his own decisions in life although the welfare of his son is a bit of a worry..... :dontknow:

if possible... can you take his son under your wing while he admits himself to a hardcore rehab??

obviously youll have to have a serious talk with him about this, and he will have to want to do it.... but if your so concerned your willing to do whats needed for your mate.

this is what id do.

I am sorry to hear that nothing changed your mate. This is relatively good news... you could have otherwise been posting that he, his son or somebody else was dead or in hospital, I guess its a matter of perspective.

I hope this changes him. Remember Rooster, only he can truly change himself and I think you have been a much better friend than he deserves or than most people would have been. Good luck.

I bet he gets a bond or other slap on the wrist.

For some reason, major driving offences like killing someone does not seem to be regarded as serious as drugs or hooning.
