Some decent fish in that mix! I really rate the dogtooth tuna and I've got a soft spot for Mahi's. Stunning looking fish and tasty to boot

I've done a fair bit of fishing but unfortunately lost 99% of my footage when a HDD crashed.

Fished over a lot of WA for lots of different fish, MonteBello Islands, Cairns for marlin with Ross Finlayson and Biggles etc. Would like to fish more around the NT / Gove and up around FNQ. Sadly only done day trips off Cairns but would LOVE to do the Ribbon Reefs ertc

The dream is a 1000lb Cairns marlin, a 50kg NorthWest WA GT and a Perth based broadbill. My background is of a commercial nature and the longliners do OK on Broadbill but that's a LONG way out for a couple of days. Used to fish almost daily but sadly dont get out anywhere near as much as I would like (ie not once this summer). Doesnt help that Perth is dead for shore based fishing and my mates with boats have all had kids / sold them so no love on that luck.

That said, if anyone in Perth needs crew that'll chip in fuel etc...

I am 40 next year and will be booking a 5 night fishing trip with Nomad Fishing

They go out about 120km off Mackay and do all sorts of fishing. I want to try out my new saltwater fly outfit on some big GT's.

Cannot wait as it should be a great trip.

Yeah...Pretty awesome, they go hard the GT's.. Got a small one 3.5Kg off La Saile jetty at maloolaba about 2 years ago... Everyone said BS and no way but I thought it was and an old timer confirmed it... but for sure definetly a fluke.....
