Hi,

I was looking over my ford and I have a few rusty stone chip marks the usual few little scratches here and there, was wondering if anyone has used the touch up guys or similar and what were your thoughts on them??? if any one has before and after pics that would be great!!

Many Thanks

Trent

I had a few on the bonnet from a truck with a load of rocks that were flinging out the bottom tray. went and got my paint code and had it specially made, cheaper then going to ford as well. It doesnt come out brand new you can see little blotches but better then a rust spot and from a little distance u cant see it :)

Use a tiny paint brush for better results

I saved myself all the cost by getting the touch up paint for the chips and doin it myself. but if your not confident give em a ring for a price. I personaly dont no anyone who has used them so I cant comment on their work. as for the scratches id go to a prof detailer.

I'm sure they would happily tackle Stone chips. For big scratches or marks 'touchup guys' work best on plastic panels. Metal they will do but recommend panel beaters instead as they need larger blend ins and as their mobile equipment is smaller and can't handle it.

If you do it yourself a tip for applying touchup paint is clean the chip well, no rust, then use a fine piece of wire to dip into the paint and slowly fill the hole til level.
