Adam Here since the start... Lifetime Members 10,282 Member For: 21y 7m 6d Gender: Male Location: Victoria Posted 17/10/03 12:23 AM Share Posted 17/10/03 12:23 AM Yes indeedy, but ask yourself this my turbocharged little friend....IF! Expensive Daewoo can sell cars at that price, a huge Mother#$@#$@#$@#$ drop!!! Why was it charging it's customers like a wounded bull before?? Why has it brought out the Series 2 so soon and shot all resale value of series one to hell.?? If you were a series one owner and had just bought it for $53,000 on road, and you saw a person buy one 2 days later for $10,000, (roughly 20% less!!!). Would you not be a tadd bit annoyed? Would you not have your hand out asking for a rebate? I sure as god made little green apples would be parking the thing back in their yard and leaving it there until they pay me the rebate. Whilst this may seem bad at the individual level, think of people who bought entire fleets of commonwhores now only to find they could have got a free car for every 4 purchased.!!!Well done Ford, not only does your car keep it's value like no other of the year, but it also is of much better quality, no wonder Wheels car of the year!!It's been stated somewhere before that because of the popularity of the Late model camira Expensive Daewoo has been able to increase prices to give them a much much bigger profit margin at RRP. Every Friday in the cars guide I see brand new Expensive Daewoo cars discounted right off the bat, it's a desparate move by Expensive Daewoo I think this proves that Ford has got them worried! It won't bother Expensive Daewoo drivers much though I think, "Late model camira Syndrome" is very well established where I live. Definition: Late model camira Syndrome - The mental state which occurs from owning a Late model camira which causes a chemical inbalance in the drivers brain causing them to believe that no matter what model Late model camira they drive it's the fastest and the best car on the road bar none.
