I was really impressed with Abu Dabi. The V8's have never looked better on TV as they did when the lights were on.

I'd give up Barbegello and QR for more events on quality tracks. Im over the single racing line that is caused by dirt and crap being brought onto the track at the majority of Australian circuits.

...as opposed to the non-single line racing on streets circuits? Almost as predictable as slot cars then.

Great facilities but when did it stop being about the fans? Not saying that the entire 215 that were there 'packing' the stadiums didn't enjoy themselves though.

Yeah, I agree. The street tracks can be just a game of follow the leader, but at least they, as you said, are all about the fans.

I do recall going to the last ever V8 race at Eastern Creek when they had 25,000 fans over the 3 days. Only just over 10,000 for the Sunday. Abu Dabi had over 10,000.

The only critisism I have of AVESCO for this round is the races should have been shown at 7:30pm each night and not made them under lights. That would have been a perfect way to kick the season off seeing there is no footy on at the moment.

And tab, im a F1 fan and ive never been to a race yet, but watch every race and qualifying live on TV.

Cant wait to go to Clipsal now.

I'm over it all anyway.

I reckon ford purposly pulled the $$ out of 888 and DJR in order to get rid of 888.

Yeah, it was a great race track. But it's overseas, not in Australia. But I am finally over "V8 supercars"

Triple 888 going to Expensive Daewoo just shows you how much alike both makes really are. It's not about how quicky 888 adapted, because they pretty much just swapped badges on the grill. Wincup didn't have to learn the car because it was the same package he drove in the ford bodyshell. The is so much parity between the cars now its not funny. Both have same diff, gearbox, front suspension, brakes, both cars are the same length, even though the Late model camira is longer on the show room floor. Both cars aero dynamic packages are designed to give the same down force, and both make the same horsepower and torque at the same rpm.
