I put the clear film on them , going fine. Don't be concerned about measurements, get some greaseproof paper or light paper, trace around it when holding into the light.

Remove and use that as your template. Easy as.

Both sides are exactly the same. Replacement cost is $97

Cheaper alternative is no longer available. Repco doesnt

stock it anymore. Easy to install once you pull the sump

guard off.

Agreed with the template idea, I actually oversized mine (on purpose) and then gently cut them with a Stanley knife once they were on. You're supposed to run the lights hot before application, then once the 3M film gets up to temperature it cuts like butter.

Don't be too concerned about seeing some adhesive imperfections when you first put them on, it takes approx 2 days for the glue to dry perfectly clear. Take care to remove the air bubbles though.

Can't even see them once they're finished, and the foggies are in perfect condition (mind you only 1500km so far - but working on them every day).

Sounds good. I might do the 3M film thing....just for stone protection more than anything else.

This only sounds like it is happening to the guys that have the flood lights on a lot of the time. No problems here and the only time I have them on is when I need them......I.e.: Heavy rain or thick fog. The only thing I have noticed is that the spotlights on our XR are a lose fit, you can wiggle the light slightly, maybe the ones that are cracking under heat expansion are more of a tight fit before they are used? Just guessing.

Not guilty you honour:

I've lost two, got 8,000k up and never use them. They're down low and catch stones.
