Ok well, matt... Stop ya f*cking whining ya little girl, unless you have proof from your own testings that can clearly say that not running a bov on a xr6t will damage the turbo then shut the f*ck up, If you want to warn him of such a danger then go for it, but back ya story up with proof. I have "heard" of compressor surge causing some damages to turbos, but on very old and high milage cars. And its only suspected, and could never be proven. Not once have I heard of any shop saying that the cause of a stuffed turbo was because of no bov.

Also, if you want noise, have noise. Who gives a two sh*ts if other people wana have a cry about it, who cares if its a work car *all the more reason*, each to there own buddy. Good luck, if you want some more info on this topic there are plenty of people on this site that have real experiance on all sides of the fence, ya just got to ask. :buttrock:

stop being a cock... its a work car, get over it... if u want a toy ... GO BUY ONE!!!!

gay noise get people defected, and its even gayer when its just noise... no performance behind it... u want work to ask you why its car has a defect for susspicion of a blow off valve???

ill say it time and time again... u get good noise from performance and more boost and vise versa, if its standard... no one thinks your cool by making it go tshhhhh... so pull your head in and drive it like a work car until u can afford something urself!

Sorry for the trouble guys.

I dont really care how much 'damage'I can cause to the car, as I dont pay for the service, nor do I think I would do much damage at all, the car is standard lol

I can afford my own car, 65'continental, which I will drive during my weekends of course.

I get this car with ALL on road costs included, so why wouldnt I want to drive this car?

I know you get a great sounding car, with the more money you spend on it, maybe you could refer back to my question next time

Gay noise doesn't get people defected? Illegal mods do. Why would I get a defect cos I have a bov? lol

As someone pointed out, all I wanted to do is have a bit of fun, cos I can lol, and just wanted some idea on how to make it sound a bit better than what it does standard, without too much work changing everything back before a service.

why the f___k would anyone risk stuffing their turbo by stopping the bov venting just to get some gay fluttering just go and buy a vl turbo if that's what you want

Hmm I read the nizpro article its pretty interesting maybe they arent needed I will remove mine and see if it makes a difference to boost dropping off between gears and throttle response

Amazing what you can find with a little bit of research isn't it? :surrenderwave:

noise doesnt get people defected! illegal mods do!

SUCH AS AN EXHAUST BEING TOO LOUD!!!! and how the hell u rekon they can defect u for that if they put freaking ear plug in!!!! DUH!!!!!!!!!!!

illegal mods cause symptoms, eg. NOISE!!!!!!

and as far as noise not causing defects how cum they test your car with a decible meter to make sure nothing exceeds 98 deibles (I think that's the right number)????

the reason a vented after market bov (is the one that makes noise) is illegal is coz the standard bov is plumbed back to intake, however the others are exhausted to atmosphere. anything after the intake on a car is classed as intake gasses,(then changing to exhaust gasses) and not allowed to escape to atmosphere until it reaches the tip of your exhaust!

THE NOISE IS A TELL TALE SIGN U HAVE AN AFTER MARKET VENTED BOV!

that's WHY IT'S ILLEGAL....

dunn what its like over there... but its a big reason cops pull people over here...when they hear a big tshhhhhh

there you go, a shared a little bit of my knowledge with you all...
