Real Posted 16/02/10 02:54 AM Share Posted 16/02/10 02:54 AM Hey guys.I blew out my right front tyre yesterday driving over a nail by accident and now I am short of cash to fit out a new 245/35/19 tyre on my rims.Im a student/ Ex construction worker and well income is minimal for me at the moment due to uni being my #1 priority.I saw a set of brand new tyres on ebay being the diamond back low profile brand new tyres for 140 each which is withn my budget as I will replace both front tyres. is this a reasonable offer or is there Cons to buying tyre's off ebay? any info will be great

Posted 16/02/10 03:31 AM Share Posted 16/02/10 03:31 AM u can get a few 19" Chinese tyres like the ones you have found. they will keep you on the road (most of the times), just dont expect the world form them. Had to top up the air once a week, but I checked the tyre pressure once a week anyway..Im with Zap... I have gotten a few punctures fixed, costs like $25, unless its the sidewall then ya can throw the tyre out..

In the really cheap range add that to shipping and the saving might not be worth it.

You get what you pay for with tyres and generally speaking $150ish for a 19" is going to get you something noisy as hell with a lower speed rating and compound similar to concrete.I understand your cash shortage but given the mods you have, sticking a set of cheap, nasty chinese boots on your car is akin to sticking a $5 helmet on your head while riding a motorcycle. At $280 for the pair of chinese ones PLUS fitting and balancing at a tyre shop you would be near as sparrow fart to the price of a decent replacement.
