I was posted there for 7 years (yes, I am an AJ) and am hopefully going to be posted back there at the end of the year. Cruses are a great way of getting to know people and subsiquently orginizing social gatherings (pi$$ ups) for people that would otherwise cruise past each other on Bagot Rd and say, "Hey, Nice Car" and that would be the end of it.Heres hopeing SCMA do the right thing and I end up back up there beginning 2008.Cheers Weapon. May try to organize another cruise shortly, maybe in conjuction with the FPV/XR Club.

Posted 13/06/07 06:58 AM Author Share Posted 13/06/07 06:58 AM I understand that there are track days at the end of every month, perhaps we could meet up and have a bit of fun, followed by some coldies at a nearby suitable venue? Anyone interested?

Happy to take some pics on the day too, might even bring the sony z1 for some Hi Def action.

I wouldn't be a competitor but I'll have fun trying. Also for those of you who are interested we're going to have some of the V8 teams in at work (Hidden Valley Ford) on this coming Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30. that's 15:30 to 16:30 for our service orientated readers . Not 100% sure which ones but I've heard the Jim Beam Team (+ Girls maybe), Lowndes and more will be there.

For fun fast round the track, now that Claire bear has ruined it all for us....righty-o will organize this...on one condition...seventytwo changes his sig afterwards!!I would come along on Thursday but People at ford tend to hide behind counters and run when they see me, not a friendly parting!(I still love fords, I just HATE the new car sales / service team)P.S has it changed since it became hidden valley ford or still the usual suspects? I've been there since Feb and have seen almost a complete change in staff behind the sevice counter. As for sales not sure who was there when it was frost. Luckily the Cairns dealer fixed the major problems that I had e.g. new diff, electricals that would die etc so bless their dear hearts (!). Frost couldn't do anything after numerous visits. I thought I had left all that behind. Then a couple of weeks ago, I got a letter from the Darwin dealer that I had been very bad and not had my car serviced lately so they were cancelling my extended warranty. I thought that was kind of interesting 'cos I didn't have an extended warranty through them anyway quite apart from the fact that the car is serviced spot-on over here in Cairns. I wrote back to the dealer and didn't get an answer back. Maybe I should ask for a refund for the cancelled warranty that I never had?Anyway Smylie hope things go well for you there. Give Pete a hard time with his Evo. And being able to do 130km/h is still better than bl**dy 100 here in Qld. But geez the open limit days before in NT sure were the good ones
