Hey Guys,

Just been on the BPR website checking out their custom cold air box for the XR6 Turbo. Just wondering if anyone has one, and if it's worth the 600 or so dollars they are charging for it? Is it much better than the Typhoon second snorkel with K&N panel filter? Does it give the car a better note as well, or is it the same?

I had one on my last T for a while, gives a great induction noise and flutter, and good quality as well.

Its worth buying if your going to stick with the crossover, if your planning to get rid of the crossover down the track its probably a waste.

We have supplied and fitted many of these to 6cyls, Turbo 6's and V8's, they have also been fitted to supercharged V8's making inexcess of 400+rwkw and have not exceeded their limits.

Thanks fellas. Yeah I want to keep my setup as close to factory as possible, which is why I was interested in this, was just wondering if it's that much better than the typhoon CAI with K&N panel filter. With a computer edit and one of these boxes, what sort of figures am I looking at on a BF T auto? Also, will it make much difference putting this on a stock car or is it only worthwhile when you get a custom tune? Just curious as I can't afford to get my car tuned right now, but wondering if it's worth getting this now then get the tune later when I can afford to, or just wait and get them both at once.

Thanks again!

Dude honestly, where you are modifying wise, you'd get better results from injectors and a Cat, rather than spending $600 on a cai... The f6 intake added to the standard box is good for well over what a tune will give ya rwkw wise.. I'd be doin other mods and only considering it after say 300+rwkw's.. Sure it would be a benefit though..

Try to get most of ya bits together for the first tune..
