The pro strenght give like 5 unit or something like that where the normal gives around 2 or 3. But in saying that I don't think any of them increase the RON rating as much as they state on the bottle. Fords Rule Member 38 Member For: 15y 6m 12d Gender: Male Location: Penrith Posted 18/02/10 12:18 PM Share Posted 18/02/10 12:18 PM I was using Nulon Pro Octane Boost and when my mechanic changed my plugs he said to stop using it as it was leaving a tarnish on them.He's not just a back yard mechanic either but a competition race engine builder with a high reputation in the business so I just use BP ULTRA now only.No tarnish on the plugs since I stopped using the Octane boost sometime back now.I don't do any track work so Octane Boost isn't necessary anyway for me.PS....Got a mate with a GTR R35 and he was doing the same as I was and checked his plugs and has now stopped using the Octane Boost and he was putting in 3 bottles of the stuff on some occasions at once.Food for thought anyway.Cheers Mark.FORDS RULE Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The race will boost by upto 5 RON, where as the Nulon claim 6 RON, but the NF contains NOS and is very good for your fuel system, wont tarnish plugs either..a bit more food for thought..
