Was it to metal? Looks a lot worse than mine. How much did it cost to get fixed, if you don't mind me asking? It was down to the metal yeah. But that was only 1 side. The other side got done too. They went thru AAMI and it cost the excess which was $450 I think. But AAMI said seeing as it was 2 scratches (1 each side of the car) then they had to put in 2 claims so it was $900.Came up so good you cant even tell it was done but its not the point. So by that logic if you have an accident that involves more than one panel they will charge you the excess on each.

THe low level nature of the scratch says to me its something else, like a trolley but not someone intenationally doint it. Accidents like this happen everyday but theres no eneed to have a public flogging over it.Got me own scratch too on one of my doors over xmas and *beep* knows how it got there.I.B. After having the car for about 2 weeks I was parking right next to quite a high kerb and wasnt used to how low the front bar is. Anyway ended up with quite a deep and wide scratch on the front right side of the bar (near the right fog light). Worst part was I heard it happen and kept telling myself its not going to be that bad. Couldnt bring myself to look at it until I got home. Had the whole bar re-sprayed 2 days later because I couldnt even sleep properly know its was there and had to have it fixed asap.In your case I would agree with some of the other guys about getting the whole door resprayed. Othewise the paint will flake where the 2 coats join. Dont stress about colour matching. Any decent painter does it by computer these days.
