What model WRX?

I owned one (GC8) that ran 13.5 stock with a rooted clutch. Had a bleed valve and wound it to 17psi (just before 18psi boost cut) and was much quicker with that + exhaust. Never ran that though.

WRX will easily nail you off the line but you'll start to catch up in the last 150m or so. If you get an OK launch, you'd probably beat him, especially if its a newier / heavier model.

Just dont mention braking / turning lol

I hate launching my manual T (342rwkw)

1st and 2nd gear is a b**** When you hit 3rd though its all good but not if your on the street 120km/h would be showing up rather quickly by then.

Would be v. close race I think, when my car had about 280rwkw, a mildly modded wrx kept right on my tail from a standing start untill we hit about 80-90km/h then I started pulling away.

+1 - modded evo couldn't hold with me stock, though I do have ZF auto, whereas he was PSSHTTing away his boost each change. Both gave it soft launch, ahead by about 2 cars by the end of the 1/4.

I've raced WRX and a TT Liberty AWD beat both off the line as said it was close but then as soon as I hit 2nd I pulled away. Same with rolling start.

Alot depends on the driver, just race and see how ya go.

I have a 2006 XR6 Turbo, ZF 6 Speed. Blue power cold air intake and centre muffler removed for the nice sound. That's all I've done.

I came up against what looked like a 2006/2007 Lancer EVO, with a huge front mount showing all its glory. We where both doing 80km/h, side by side. He even looked at me and gave me some weird look. And as soon as I heard the evo downchange and start screaming its guts off, I put it into second gear (ZF AUTO, I was using the manual mode). He was ahead, obviously because he launched first and earlier, but I was reeling him in, and by 100km/h it was nose to nose. By 120km/h his nose was where my towbar is. At 140km/h he was even further back. I could just see the gap growing bigger and bigger.

These XR6 Turbo's are really mean machines. In the near future, once people realise these cars, everybody will be like "oh sh*t, its an XR6T Falcon, don't wanna race him"! But at the moment, its like everybody wants to have a go, even though they get slaughtered every time, I always seem to have some hot P plater, or some middle aged guy driving a skyline wanting a run, just to get left behind. I've had V8 BMW's, Mazda 3 mps and Mazda 6 mps, HSV 255's, 297's and once a 317 try me off the line. But still get beaten by a near stock family car XR6 Turbo.

GO THE TURBO!!!
