Maitland Posted 25/10/10 10:38 AM Share Posted 25/10/10 10:38 AM I got my rear removed on my FG, it sounds like a race car when you you give it to it, I love it, best 100 bucks I ever spent. I don't think any of the you tube vids do these mods justice, because I videod mine and it sounds like a tractor in the vid but in reality it has got the nicest sweet burble at idle, a louder during cold start but then settles beautifully. Driving around town normally its pretty quiet with just a hint of a note, enough to get people looking. Using the gears to slow down you get that awesome crackling like over run and at 100km/h absolutely no drone. At full tilt the sound is insane! I don't know what it would be like on the BA/BF series but if you have an FG and want cheap satisfaction I say do it! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Maitland Posted 26/10/10 11:35 AM Share Posted 26/10/10 11:35 AM Hey Kink and rab, I was actually getting the centre removed and the rear replaced with a sureflo stainless job, but the exhaust guy thought that for what I was trying to achieve it would serve the same purpose and be 300 bucks cheaper to chop of the rear muffler and install a nice tip. When I turned up to pick the car up and he told me I wasn't sure, and he said he would do what I wanted if I wasn't happy but to go start it and have a drive and I'm glad I did.I am going to the drags on the 12th of December and someone will be filming so I should get a good clip of her at full noise for youse. Trust me the idle clip sounds no different to the other youtube vids which sound a bit tractor like but it actually doesn't sound like that in reality.
