Finally got my car back from the tuners and it has made 310rwkw on just under 14psi boost.

14psi is pretty high for 310 isn't it?? He put a note that it needs cats remove new dump pipe and the waste gate mod and valve springs.

On the other hand.. .car drives really well really driveable I can see whats going to happen a month down the track though :turboboink:

Good work mate enjoy the power :spit: ...invest in a Scottsrod 5" cat...You can them on ebay, they are worth the money...flow really well and are a good price :buttrock:

Here is nz you don't need cats :P I'll invest in a straight through piece of pipe ... Much cheaper and will be much better to :buttrock:

Just a question about the boost... it makes 13.8psi at just over 3000rpm and it slowly tapers of to about 12.. is that pretty normal??

The dyno read out said it made 2400 Nm Torque... that cannot be right can it?? that's enough to spin earth out of orbit lol

the boost tapering off is probably due to the need for valve springs, possible stock actuator/flapper as well

keep the dump you have and just remove the cat if you can, will flow to high 300's then.

Hey xr6turboman congrats on the result :3gears: are you getting any valve bounce? it is a ba isnt it? I would be doing the valves springs next if they are other wise new exhaust and have some cash to spare for the springs

Do you have a dyno sheet to show?

Yeah that boost drop off is fairly normal... to keep it up at 13.8psi you need a stronger (12psi) actuator and wastgate port enlarged.

Basically whats happening is the boost is spiking to 13.8psi then settling down on 12, which isnt too bad a some struggle to hold boost and drop to under 10psi.

The BF dump is the same as BA, its the cat and the piping just out of the cat that is different... if you can find a BF section use that with a pipe where the cat used to be... otherwise you'll need a xhaust shop to make a Y section to replace the BA cat which has twin outlets.

The best way would be to buy a 4inch dump, and get a xhaust shop to fit in a straight pipe :) ah NZ and the no cats, hope nothings blowing over to us lol

:turboboink: Driving home from work today car starts to struggle as I pull up to the lights .. turn off and go down a road and it comes right.. I throught it must have just been abit low on gas so I fill it up next thing the car won't start.

Had to get towed by a SS ute :censored: it was worthy though turbo ss lol.

He tested it and the fuel pump had shat itself... hadn't even done 100k ..

I just think myself lucky that it died when sitting at lights rather than at 5000rpm in 3rd lol...

f***n FORD :bangcomputer:

Edit: oh and I asked him about the 2400nm torque.. that was at the wheels so you divide it by the diff ratio so its like 643nm at the fly wheel...
