A BOV only works when you back off the throttle, this thing only works when the pressure reaches a set point, kinda like a wastegate but nothing like a BOV. :hammerhead:

ii know they are pricey, but find me a pneumatic relief valve that will flow the same amount for cheaper.

but what price do we pay for a bit of piece of mind?

How many people run surge tanks when a walbro will do the job 99% of the time?

How many people run the braided turbo oil supply line when 99% of the time just removing the filter screen will do the same job?

Yeah I get your point although doesn't an adjustable wastegate do the same job and can be bought for cheap off ebay?. My main point was that Nizpro are exy (I would have said rapists though) without being blunt (or edited!).

Good thing is it does fix the boost spike on gear change (and any other spike) and stay at a constant boost level and you can take it to any turbo car when you do sell or expand the car.

Mines a 4sp but I get to see the prob with a mates FG all the time when he's having fun in it.

point taken mate, nizpro gear is all overpriced. If I wasn't flat out at work I probably would have went the wastegate option, if I knew it would take over a week to get from sydney to cairns in an airbag I would have told them to shove it.

A week is crazy! We can get stuff quicker from HK via there normal air mail than our own country...

Was the delay due to Nizpro or that it actually sat at the post depot for a few days either end?

The overboost valve certainly is expensive for what is is(Nizpro one is well made though) but reacts much quicker to overboost situations than the ECU can. Protecting engine and ZF from these spikes or full on boost runaway for $350, IMO, is cheap.

How does it work when the throttles open? Wouldn't the overboosted air just take the easy path? Which is continue into the engine?
